Our Roots
Necessidy, located in Houston, Texas, is a provider of wellness and clinical mental health support, founded by Chassidy Wooten, a certified mental health counselor. The story began with a longing to create what was missing - safe, empowering spaces for emotional healing and cultural affirmation. Guided by Chassidy's lived experience as a Black woman from Houston and her training in mental health counseling, Necessidy was built to fill a gap between traditional therapy and the deeper needs of community, spirit, and self-understanding. Every service and resource reflects a belief that healing extends beyond symptom relief. Here, care honors the complete person: mind, emotions, spirit, and heritage. Real people - especially those historically overlooked - find a space that welcomes their complexity, offers evidence-based guidance, and uplifts their journey toward regulation, resilience, and transformation. Over time, Necessidy grew into a digital sanctuary for those seeking clarity, calm, belonging, and true growth.

Mission & Vision
The purpose of Necessidy is to create a nurturing environment that supports the emotional well-being and self-discovery of those too often left out by conventional care. Inspired by the unique experiences of Black women and underserved communities in Houston, the mission weaves together professional mental health services, tools for nervous system regulation, empowering education, and spiritual approaches - all delivered with cultural awareness and intention. Safety, authenticity, and empowerment guide every decision, from one-on-one support to community programs and digital resources. As Necessidy grows, its vision remains focused on evolving with the needs of the community, offering ongoing support that honors the individuality of each life and story. People seeking clarity, peace, and meaningful change find a long-term partner in their journey toward sustainable healing and stronger self-connection.
